Feverfew — As it’s name would suggest, feverfew once was used to reduce fever. It is used today to treat headaches. Serotonin is suspected as one of the causes of migraine headaches as it causes blood vessels to constrict.

Ginger will take the pain away as well. I take about a quarter of a teaspoon of ground ginger, it doesn’t have to be fresh ginger – just out of a jar will do, put some sugar over it to sweeten the taste. Pour it onto your tongue and wash it down with milk to help take the heat away. It works almost every time and it even takes the pain of migraine away. Not the spaced-out feelings but the pain anyway!

For immediate relief from a headache push your finger in the space between your eyebrows. That’s right just above the bridge of your nose. It may hurt a little when you push but that is because you have a headache. Keep pressing and then letting go until the throbbing of the headache has subsided. The place you are pushing is actually an acupuncture point and pressing it will relieve the suffering. ‘No do not stick any needles in yourself.

The therapy involves being hooked up to sensors that provide real-time readings of body processes, like blood pressure and muscle tension, and learning how to affect them with stress-relieving techniques.
